| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2004 Hey Hey this isnt that bad. Yellow orange in colour with a medium long lasting white head. The nose is fruity and malty and just a dab of yeast. The taste is sweet and fun with malts and some hops with a nice underlying flavour of yeast. Not offensive at all. Good stuff. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 12, 2004 Bottle at Spuyten Duyvil. Deep brownish burgundy. Lasting off-white head. Hugely phenolic aroma, extremely sweet. Big toffee and buttery malt aroma, cream hints. Banana-like yeast in the nose, leathery like on the tongue. It somewhat dries out in the finish, but it’s just not enough, this is indeed a dessert brew, but this banana split/chocolate milk, berry pudding sweetness going on is a little too filling for me. Body is huge, very creamy, round. I’d love it under other circumstances, but here it makes the beer too heavy. My least favorite of the columbus, zatte and struis. Unbalanced.
