Bottle. Cloudy brown beer with a very strong head. The aroma is sour, burn’t and dry, and the flavour is very bitter, slightly spiced and sour. Overall quite an average beer.

Amsterdam 08. BottleS from bierkoning. They both poured a hazy brown with a big tanned head. They where both overcarbonated. First one was really infected, it smelled of horseblanket and wee. I went back to the shop and bought another bottle - that one was also infected but not quite as much. Both totally drainpours. When will I grow balls and complain when they sell me infected beers?

Bottle 33cl. @ home.
Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, spices, moderate hoppy, grass, moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (300608)

On tap at Café Belgique, Amsterdam.
Poured dark orange/golden colour with medium sized white head and pleasant fruity nose. Yeasty, fruity sweetness, coriander and some berries with notes of spices. Alcohol is light noticeable in the finish. Again nice beer from ’t IJ.

Bottled at Gollem, Amsterdam. Perfumy, yeasty and sour aroma in combination with a hefty salty bitterness in the flavour makes this a highly interesting beer from ’t IJ.
