| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 18, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Spiced and herbal aroma, not good and uninviting. Flavour is nice malty with a nice sweetness and spice mix. Has a slight soapy and leathery feel. Ends with a mild spice note. Terrible aroma but nice flavour. boboski (1095), Alabama, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 15, 2007 Pretty sheets of near-white lacing form as a fluffy head slowly recedes. A medium amber body is revealed, quite cloudy. Perfumes and floral notes - perhaps Dandelions - emerge as the glass is drawn closer. Mild spice and aged hops are detected. Alcohol is pleasantly, totally concealed. The flavor takes a sudden twist: Spice! What a momentum shift. The taste is incredibly spicy and almost as lovely as the aroma, it just seems to lack some of the complexity of the nose. Sweetness is medium, hoppy bitterness is mild, astringency is low-mild. The finish is yeasty and bitter, lingering a short while and fading into a crisp and clean wheated fraction of its former self. A delicious refresher with a face-kick of spice to mix things up. Cool beer. This brewery concocts another unique and winning recipe. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 12, 2007 Bottle. Large off-white thick head that mostly lasted. Good display of lacework. Clear sparkling body with a golden color. Yeast, caramel, fruit, spice and citrus leather. Light to medium bodied with a light dry texture and a soft carbonation. Moderated bitter flavor with a hint of sweetness. Bitter spicy lingering finish. joergen (8635), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 28, 2007 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, amber golden with a tall, dense, handsome head with excellent retention. Spicy aroma with some yeast. Medium body with a light malt base. Dry as a bone with the same astringent, leathery bitterness as found in Orval - although not as refined. But quite interesting. 211007 Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Really nice quaffable bitter that reveals the excellence of the Dutch brewing tradition. Finely hopped to a peak of bitterness and does not have either a hop or malt overload (balanced). Head dissipates rather quickly. Lumpy (1802), Carrollton, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Bottle. Body-hazy dirty yellow with a big thick foamy head. Nose-lightly woody, spicy heat in the usual Belgian dry spice way, heather, light body odor, fried corn meal, floral. Taste-medium bitter, flower petals, light metal, stale bitter hops, dirt. Not bad but not over whelming.
