Initially sweet with hints of oranges and a substantial hops bite at the end. Extremely well balanced and a full body. Extra smooth. I had this on tap at Café Belgique in Amsterdam and it was fantastic – don’t know how the bottled version compares. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden

Nice vanilla, citrus and hoppy aroma - tastes the same, orange is one of the moste tasted flavors. Nices Orange body with a leggy head. Almost silky mouthfeeling, wonderful!
RERATE Bottle 2005: November 13/2005 7/5/8/4/16 - 4.0 : Thanks to Jorrit for this - I will try to age the other ones to rerate them later - great idea!
Huge fluff rocky white head - long lasting. Hazy static ocher colored brew. Fruity, piney nose with figs and brie and also citrus. Didn’t get the orange feeling as from my frist rating - interesting. Intense bitterness which lasts long. astringent finish - leather taste. Nice Oakes (8113), gone rambling, Cambodia

Absolutely beautiful appearance, thick lasting head, cloudy, some yeast particles. Very fruity nose, yeast, floral notes. Very pleasant dry and bitter flavour. Lasting dry finish. Extremely drinkable and yet fairly complex. Although different batches seem to differ in flavour, it’s almost always very good. Great craftsmanship! Re-rate #2: A fresh sample. Perhaps i just needed to get familiar with its flavour, but this one is actually really good. A bit yeasty and pretty bitter, but this beer, although not my personal favourite, is probably the best beer of this brewery. Really good! Re-rate: Bottled, one year past best before date. Hazy copper coloured, big lasting head. Very malty aroma, some spices. Sweet and yet bitter flavour, very easy to drink. I like it a lot more than the first time i had it, perhaps i should also give t IJnde Jaars a new try.
