Commercial Description:
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

Bottle. Gusher. Smells like fermented shoe with exotic spice. Looks like a wonderful golden orange cloudy abbey Tripel with a beautiful, lasting layer of eggshell head, and an attractive, tight layer of lacing. This does not taste right or anything like what the other raters are noting. Methinks, sadly, this is an infected bottle. I’ll try it again when I’m in Amsterdam in May. Rating given is per RB average. Bottle purchased from Oliver’s.

Pours clear but I missed the shot of yeast that clouded my beer. Spicy, yeasty, citrus sherbert aroma. I fear the flavor is clouded also. Vegetable notes dominate the sweet malt and citrus flavors.

On tap. Cloudy orange aroma with a creamy white head. Aroma of floral hops and a little spicy coriander. A little sweet malty flavor with hints of honey, coriander and yeast. Sweet floral hoppy aftertaste.

Hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Pleasant funky Orval aroma, coriander and herbal hops. In mouth, smooth lightly sweet malts, with ground cherries, coriander and light spicey final. Creamy, smooth. Very much in Orval style. Bought at Knighly Liquors, Orlando, 4.49$

Bottle. Egg white like head leaving thick, creamy laze on top of a hazy golden beer with some black grains floating around. Yeasty, but nonetheless interesting aroma with mango and orange peel. Flavor is balanced but on the thin side - almost watery. Dry and minerallic and the bitterness is a less harsh than usual from this brewery (are they using very hard water???). Creamy mouth feel with lively carbonation. A characterful beer with some flaws - but I wouldn’t mind having again.
