ericnixon (719), Northampton, Massachusetts, USA Dec 2, 2005 Poured a cloudy golden color with minimal to no head. It has an odd tarty, messed-up apple aroma that is somewhat pungent. Sharp mouthfeel with a very quick burst of orange-y, appley flavor that completely goes away very quickly. Zero aftertaste. Didn’t enjoy it. MesandSim (5790), London, Greater London, England Nov 20, 2005 A Mes rate:
Nothing at all that I can see or taste to make a fuss about really. A very standard tripel. Seems a little over rated on here if you ask me. Storm (2685), Amager, Denmark Nov 14, 2005 33 cl bottle. Yeast in bottom. Golden to amber colour with a big white head. Nice aroma of sweet orange and notes of yeast. Nice flavour of complexity, with a malty and warm finish. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 10, 2005 bottle. pours a murky orange body with small specks of yeast and a medium white head that quickly dissipates to a small top. nice tripel aroma of tart green apples, pear, light citrus, cereal, and yeast. soft cookie malt flavours, musty yeast, spice, and mild fruit flavours. dry finish. warm alcohol body. great stuff. MoritzF (4856), Bochum, Germany Nov 8, 2005 (bottle) Golden colour with a big foamy white head. Stromg citrus (oranges) aroma with floral hops, yeasts and hay. Creamy texture, medium body, bittersweet flavour. Light sweet malty taste with honey, oranges and a peppery spicy, still fruity and light bitter finish. Very interesting and rather uncommon “Tripel”. Well-quaffable and moreish. larsniclas (3383), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 8, 2005 Bottled.
Hazy golden, large white head.
Grassy, hoppy flavour.
Dry and sourish flavor. A bit geuze-ish. rlgk (3377), Vårgårda, Sweden Nov 6, 2005 Golden, white head. Lots of yeast in the bottle. Grassy aroma with citrus, grape, pine and sweeter fruits.
