dortmunder (961), Herdecke, Germany Jul 9, 2005 Bottled. Cloudy deep golden colour. Rather big head. Predominantly sweet and malty aroma with notes of honey, spices and oranges. Tastes malty, sweet with notes of citrus fruits and spiciness in the background. Finishes bitter and maybe gets a tad watery in the end. Apart from that a full body and a creamy mouthfeel. A really good one. Many thanks to bierkoning for providing me with this. DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Jul 6, 2005 Orange cloudiness when poured with lots of floaties.Lots of citrus and grainy flavors. The finish was good and it warmed my belly a little. hotstuff (3175), Indiana, USA Jun 25, 2005 Bottle. Medium sized white head that was mostly lasting, sparse lacing, fine-small sized bubbles, minimal carbonation, cloudy, and a straw yellow hue. Nose was malty, sweet, fruity, spicy and clove. Flavor was malty, sweet and spicy. Smooth, dry mouthfeel. Light body. Pailhead (2572), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Jun 5, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is fruity with some grape and citrus and lots of spice, mainly clove. Pours a cloudy dull orange with lots of sediment and a quickly diminishing white head. Mostly fruit up front with some caramel and yeast. Spice, again mostly clove, really comes in at the finish with some balanced hops. Light apple and yeasty aftertaste lingers for a little while. TomDecapolis (3130), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 2, 2005 Pours cloudy with a number of small floaties (a few chunks at the end). A small head that dissapears quickly, good bit of carbination. An overall nice flavor although a bit sour, kind of a sour apple aroma at first. Some citrus going on too. Thanks to HopDog for giving me this one. MiP (8793), Sønderborg, Denmark May 31, 2005 Updated: Feb 15, 2006Bottle. Bready rye aroma. Hazy golden colour, small head. Slightly citric flavour, average bitterness. A bit boring. Mouthfeel is nice, though. </br> Draught. Flavour is a little sweet with some wheat to it. Orange colour, nice creamy white head. Slightly spiced flavour. Aftertaste is malty and sweet. Low bitterness. Nice, low carbonation. Sully (1367), Woolloomooloo, New South Wales, Australia May 23, 2005 Cloudy on the pour like a wheat beer. The nose here is a mixture of citrus and malt with the flavour being of the same nature. A bit of sourness in the flavour and some spicy mouthfeel. This is a good ber but it does tend to sit in the realms of mediocrity. ThomasE (5179), Copenhagen, Denmark May 23, 2005 Hazy golden with a white head. Fruity, yeasty and spicy aroma. Malty and yeasty flavor with lots of fruit in a nice complex beer.
