Aroma is heavy of fruit, hops and a little too much alcohol. Sweet and strong fruity flavor with a nutty undertone. Soft. Pailhead (2609), Allen Park, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 5, 2005 Bottle: Aroma is fruity with some grape and citrus and lots of spice, mainly clove. Pours a cloudy dull orange with lots of sediment and a quickly diminishing white head. Mostly fruit up front with some caramel and yeast. Spice, again mostly clove, really comes in at the finish with some balanced hops. Light apple and yeasty aftertaste lingers for a little while. 1FastSTi (2580), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Pours to a hazed over caramel colored body with a tall foamy white head. Awesome lacing. The flavor is extremely yeasty with tart wheat. Tripel like. Crisp grains, bananas, yeast, golden raisins, and dry grassy hops. The aroma is dry and mineral laden. Sort of like Abbaye de Rocs. Yeasts and bananas meets golden raisins. The palate is full of minerals and is extremely carbonated. Effervescent. Nice texture and drying. pivo (2537), Germany
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 19, 2002 The color is kinda orang and cloudy. Yeasty, sweet malt aroma leads to a big taste. It leaves a bitterness on the bottom of the tongue. A little citrusy and tangy too. Huge brew that doesn’t quit. I should mention that I sampled this at the ’t Ij brewery and it was delicious. (Be sure to get there early enough to grad a table. TIP: take the #10 tram there). kramer (2515), Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 28, 2005 11.2 oz bottle. Poured a cloudy orange with a nice frothy white head, lots of faint lacing all the way to the end. Aroma is good, but a little weak in my opinion. Smells of yeast, fruit (apple, tangerine), kind of musty. Flavor is pretty good, exactly what I’d expect from a triple, but somehow very little alcohol despite the 8%. Palate is lively on the tongue, then becomes very creamy for the finish. Really a pretty good beer all around, very very drinkable. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aroma is yeast, oranges, spices and a touch of honey all blended together. Flavor is much the same. Beautiful on the palate. So smooth for a triple. Balanced beautifully and no alcohol to be found in this one. Very nice tripel.. I loved it.. FlacoAlto (2482), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Pours a hazy rich gold color that is topped by a fluffy cream-tan colored head. I get soft aromas of tropical fruit, oranges, pepper, and a faint mustiness. Overall the aroma is fairly weak though. The taste is lightly sweet up front and the finish is definitely interesting: I get a certain astringency and a mustiness. There are also notes of lemon, orange, pear and lots of spice notes in the finish. This is a very interesting beer, the after taste is chock-full of subtle spice notes that really grab my attention.
