Fruity aroma with notes of wild strawberries, spicy & earthy notes. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Very well balanced with a light initial sweetness followed by a firm dryness. A great saison-like beer. YogiBeera (2437), Hamburg, Germany

Nice smokey, orange aroma. Orange body with a frothy head. Nice wheaty, lemon-y and vanilla flavor. Medium bitter finish. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

Tobacco barn. Lime zest. Dry malt in the flavor. Bitterness in finish amplified by low sweetness. Beerlando (2353), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 19, 2008 Pours a very lightly hazy medium golden color. A frothy, off-white head shows good retention, settling slowly to a 2mm blanket that sticks. Sticky, splotchy lacing remains on the glass. Aromas are quite funky, dry, and laden with brett. Notes of light candy sugar, light fruity esters (banana maybe), bready yeast, and mild floral hop notes make for a very nice blend. Peppery notes emerge from the yeast, lending a welcomed spiciness. Flavors continue along those lines, with the sweetness of a candied pale malt base being countered by the spicy yeast and dry, musty brett. Very much in the mold of a Jolly Pumpkin in terms of yeast profile, though perhaps less dry and more peppery. Medium-plus bodied and softly carbonated, this one is quite drinkable, but lacking in substance for an 8% beer. Tails off at the finish, turning a little flat in flavor and palate. This is pretty good overall, and just a few tweaks short of brilliant. Mads Langtved (2246), Copenhagen K, Denmark

| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Draught at the t’IJ brewpub. Hazy yellow to brown color with creamy head. Sour and spicy aroma with cumin and pepper. Sweet, thick, worty, spicy and fruity flavor with strong phenols, some sourness and some woodyness. Usually the beers taste the best at the brewery but in this case its the opposite. The beers at brewery are very thick and not fully fermented. Pigfoot (2226), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

As soon as I crack the crown cap, a heady whiff of fruity aromas wafts out, with a suggestion of grapes in the lead. Hazy orange color, enormous crackly creamy head, casting a pinkish appearance in contrast to the body of the beer. Aroma is vibrant, dazzling, lovely, largely citrus and spice. Soft and sweet, with a slightly sour palate that remains throughout the finish. Somehow, I’m getting the feel of a lambic here, with the sourness and the fruit. Not among my favorite tripels, but a nice shot.

Aroma of some spice and also some fruit such as orange and maybe even passionfruit. Medium body, some cheese, some citrus notes and severeal other flavours, good carbonation and seems to have a long finish. Enjoyed this drop although my partner didn’t.
