Taste is a tangy fruit more toward a saison flavor than a triple on my pallet. Finish is acidic. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia

Flavour is a wonderful blend of spices, honey and citric zest. Flavour is a similar blend, wonderful sweet honey start with a long spicy finish. Very well balanced, and alcohol completely hidden. Top stuff. Angeloregon (2025), Portland, Oregon, USA

Spicy and fruity orange nose and tawny orange body. This was like a fruit cocktail or a tropical pop sickle. Incredible desert-worthy beer. Eggselent! DaSilky1 (2016), San Diego, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 4, 2004 a solid sheet of froth covers this cloudy brown concoction as a fruity yet sour aroma lifts from the glass and speaks of chewy apricot...flavors glow of malty colors..ripe apricot colors the dark complexities..dark fruits i say!..dried apricot, orange peel, and evilness..some bitterness makes an appearance, but in a fruitful way..a colorful experience. oh yes. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 7, 2006 Hazy golden color, nice off white head that had a good hang time then faded leaving a slight lace behind. The aroma was fruity with some good hints of citrus and light malt with maybe a slight sweet side voming through. The flavor was sweet and malty with a good citrusy side coming through to go along with a sort of heavy feeling on the pallate,i also detect a sort of metallic side in the finish but it’s not something that detracts from the over all flavor or experience of the brew.Very nice and well worth trying again. altonbrownd (1957), Amsterdam, Netherlands

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle is dated August 2002. Dunno if that was bottling or best by date, but this one is old. Upon uncapping, the aroma was detectable from a few feet away, and when I got closer it pricked the nose. Hazy golden with a smallish head, decent lacing and retention. Very huge orange/citrus aroma with lesser notes of yeast and a trace of pepper. Actually similar aroma to Orval, but not quite. Surprisingly powerful aroma, flavor is a slight step down but still good. Medium bodied, a light sweetness. Enjoyable, I wonder what a fresh sample would bring. swoopjones (1920), Buffalo, New York, USA
