Predominantly sweet and malty aroma with notes of honey, spices and oranges. Tastes malty, sweet with notes of citrus fruits and spiciness in the background. Finishes bitter and maybe gets a tad watery in the end. Apart from that a full body and a creamy mouthfeel. A really good one. Many thanks to bierkoning for providing me with this. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 15, 2002 Cloudy peach loaded with swirling sediment and carbonation that appears to originate from the sediment on the bottom of the glass. Weird. Thin off white head (slow pour as this sucker was hissing when I uncapped it). Moderate carbonation, as said. Sweet/tart aroma with light tropical fruit, spices and hamster cage (after a turd dropping). Bubbly body with the sweet/tart flavor and a light tangerine + peel flavor. Spicy but not herby. Not much malt depth and the carbonation gets in the way of letting any flavor settle in. Dry aftertaste with a yeasty bite. Zero hint of alcohol. Finishes tart and dry and yeasty. Very un-trippel like. Decent. reakt (937), Greater London, England

Very fine sediment. Aroma of grapefruit and peach. Taste to match with strong alcohol, some spice. Something artificial in the finish - like chemicals. Sweet finish. Good. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 19, 2008 No, it doesn’t match the best of Belgium. It doesn’t even match the best of Holland. Probably the most disappointing beer of our visit to the brewery. Draft. Pours dull, dirty orange-brown with thin, off-white head. Faint orange nose. Mildly sweet with orange-citric notes and light bitterness. Fairly thick mouthfeel. A bit bland for its strength. Not bad, but still a letdown after the others.
