Oct 27, 2003 Cloudy dark golden color with a large white head. Lemon and other citrus fruit aromas dominate, with hints of spice. The flavors are of citrus, ginger, and spice. Somewhat tart especially in the finish.

Apr 24, 2004 Cloudy coppery hue with some floaties that produced a large frothy head and very nice lacing. The aroma has a sour fruit, dusty yeast, biscuit malts, vanilla and cinnamon. The taste starts yeasty with a sweet and flowery background. Displays a touch of acidic and mildly bitter undertones. Woody and slightly spices towards the finish. Alcohol is well hidden. The mouthfeel is lively and crisp, a bit watery however. It’s an okay beer, but nothing to go out of your way to buy.

May 4, 2007 Faint orangy type aroma. Cloudy butterscotch color. Thin mouthfeel with strong carbonation. Too much for a tripel. Malty and yeasty with some hints of citrus. Very subtle bitter finish.

Aug 30, 2002 Of the t IJ lineup, this has the lightest color and the whitest head, but the flavor is a tad thin - like a singel (try Witkap Pater instead). Not much aroma. Overrated.

Nov 5, 2003 Pours a golden brown with a million floaties in it. They are suspended throughout the beer. The nose is a little disappointing as it gives off the aroma of dog food mixed with malt and spice. The taste reminds me more of a European lager or pilsener than a tripel. Smooth malted body hops, some fruit, and spice. Very nice combination and very smooth mouthfeel and finish. Light warming feeling as it goes down. Good beer!

Mar 16, 2004 A few floaties in this cloudy, golden-bodied brew. The aroma is a tad spicy, with maybe some bananas. The flavor has some peppery qualities to it. The alcohol is really well-hidden. A little too carbonated to make the palate enjoyable, but its not offensive.
