Commercial Description:
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

ChrisFest Pale and perfumed. Fairly dry. An attractive chalky ale - though lacking in range and depth.

Pours a golden brown with a million floaties in it. They are suspended throughout the beer. The nose is a little disappointing as it gives off the aroma of dog food mixed with malt and spice. The taste reminds me more of a European lager or pilsener than a tripel. Smooth malted body hops, some fruit, and spice. Very nice combination and very smooth mouthfeel and finish. Light warming feeling as it goes down. Good beer!

A few floaties in this cloudy, golden-bodied brew. The aroma is a tad spicy, with maybe some bananas. The flavor has some peppery qualities to it. The alcohol is really well-hidden. A little too carbonated to make the palate enjoyable, but its not offensive.

An amber/orange color, hazy, with a full white head; effervescent, with full lacing and a nice film. Aroma is of pineapple, apples, pears and other fruity esters. Flavor has a sweet start and bitter finish, dry and yeasty. Palate is smooth, medium bodied with low co2. Quite one-dimensional; smells like a tripel, but the finish is surprisingly dull and bitter.

bottle dated march 06, so a little over a year old. pours a cloudy gold, moderate carbonation. aroma is yeast, fruity malt (peaches? orange?), and a hint of alcohol. medium body, flavor has a big caramel, fudge component, but there’s some grapes/raisins in there too. very strange for a tripel. good, but (as others have noted) i expected something lighter and drier. ends sweeter than i’d like.

A Mes rate: Nothing at all that I can see or taste to make a fuss about really. A very standard tripel. Seems a little over rated on here if you ask me.

Hazy yellow of color with a white head. An aroma of dust, apples and oak. A flavor of wood, spice and dry notes.
