Commercial Description:
A golden Tripel-style ale. A little lighter in alcohol, but not in flavor, than Westmalle, and more drinkable. It matches the best of Belgium.

33cl bottle, best before 03/2006. Drinking it right now. Poured into small Bodum glass coffee cup. Deep golden color with lots of sediment and visible carbonation (bubbles). Looks like a golden gelatin. Small head. Present aroma - lots of candi sweetness but in a different manner. Real deep earthy sweetness. I am starting to get a rhythem to these beers aromas. Taste is similarly earthy belgian. I almost want to say a roasty sweetness or woodsy. Leaves a sweet wet forest aftertaste. Original.

33 cL. Bottle. It pours a medium pale color with a white head and slick lacing. The nose has fresh fruit and malt aromas. The flavor is spicy, and full of malt but also with a tart acidy finish. It has a nice dry and crisp mouthfeel. Very well done beer.

33 cL bottle, snifter, bottle conditioned. Hazy peach/amber body with a tall, frothy, white head. Bread, cookie, straw malts. Herbal hop aroma. Dough and leather yeast. Banana, grape, apple, vanilla, and pepper aromas. Overall, aroma is yeasty first and malty second. Cookie dough...or dough cookie, if you will. Moderate to heavy sweetness, light acidity upfront. Moderately sweet, lightly bitter, lightly acidic in the finish. Hmm...there’s a distinct yeasty sourness throughout. Still reminds me of cookie dough. Medium-full body, creamy/soft texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: I prefer my tripels with a little less yeast and a bit more bitterness, but this is pretty damn good. Be careful at the end of the pour, this is a strong tasting yeast strain.

(Bottle) Pours a lightly cloudy golden body with a large off-white head. Aroma is tart and dusty. Flavor of sweet fruit with spicy yeast (nice balance). Clean, light, soft, and creamy mouthfeel. Tasty!

Sweet marzipan malt and yeast with spicy, flowery hops in the aroma. Hazy, golden yellow with initially strong white head that recedes to cover. Malt dominated, sweet flavour has plenty of tropical fruits and a light tartness toward the finish. Very tasty. Smooth and creamy in the mouth. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT and Rastacouere at Spuyten Duyvil (Brooklyn, New York).

Bottle. Pours cloudy light yellow with a large, frothy white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (bread, hay, straw), average hops (flowers, perfume), heavy yeast (horse blanket, barnyard, soap, earth) with notes of alcohol and cloves. Medium bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a metallic finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness and acidity, light bitterness.

Poured a hazy golden/amber color with an averaged sized white head. Lots of large particles. Aromas of oranges, lemons, apples, cinnamon and honey. Starts of slightly sweet and ends in a nice bitter and sour finish. Fruity, spicy and yeasty flavors.
