Poured a cloudy, yellowish/orange with a white head. Insanely tart, citrus aroma. Yeasty and a little sour. Not sure how old this bottle was, but it certainly seemed off, oxidized for sure and a little astringent. DSG (1514), Tel Aviv, Israel

Pours a very bubbly hazy gold with a massive long-lasting fluffy white head. What is with that head?! Sweet, grassy, hoppy aroma with a good amount of yeast and some citrus fruit.
Flavour: A bit sweet for the style, quite hoppy but also yeasty, with a bit of harshness in the finish. Alcohol is definitely present. Average bodied. Not on style for a DIPA but it’s still pretty good, just not great. lefossoyeur (66), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 20, 2009 Golden orange with a thin white head. Faint hops nose with some herbal hops and candied oranges. The nose reminded me of Carolus de Noël. Attack is crisp with nice herbal hops on a medium thin body with the alcohol rounding it nicely. Carbonation is mild and it fits perfectly this double IPA. as it warms up, the bouquet got larger and more penetrating. Thinking of buying a Chouffe Houblon to quench your belgian hops appetite? Try this one instead, it’s the closest belgian have come to replicate american IIPA. I’ll go back for more for sure...

Aroma of overripe fruits, Belgian yeast, spices, loads of sweetness. Flavour is very bitter, almost like bile, light fruity, spicy, loads of sugar, very dry bitter finish. Medium to fullbodied. The bitterness was too much for me, couldn’t finish it. SSSteve (2080), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
