| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 26, 2009 Bottle:Golden, cloudy with a huge fluffy off-white head, that slowly collapses; solid aromatic hoppy nose, backed by sweet and fruity malt and - no error - a tinge of smoked malt; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; charcoal in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Well hidden alcohol, all in all a well made, but unusual IPA........... kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | May 19, 2009 slowly poured into my lucky Republican President glass still produced a strong firm head over clear gold. agitated the slurry and poured out a thick viscous haze into the glass, now much more tarnished in appearance. Head still isn’t going anywhere. Strong Belgian golden yeast aroma with aggressive WC hops. Amazing. Grassy, sweet like nectar, thick honeyed texture, increasingly herbal through the finish. Candied grapefruit too. Unlike any other IIPA or Belgian I’ve had Acknud (790), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA
