Jul 26, 2009 Bottle. Hazy orange with a large off-white foam. Aromas are oranges with yeast and plenty of spices. Bubblegum and floral notes. Flavours are sweet malts with lots of oranges and bitter, pithy grapefruit. Floral and lightly soapy with some light woody notes. Fresh on the palate with a dry, bitter finish.

Jul 25, 2009 Hazy peach pour with 3 finger head. Aroma is loaded with citrus and clove; bready and biscuity. Very citrusy flavors with smooth spice, toasty malt and grapefruit notes. Palate is nice and full for the style, ending clean.

cloudy golden, large thick smooth head.
flavor is lots and lots and lots of bitterhops, some flowery hops, good sweet malty base, some grapefruity and piny hops. quite bitter brew, especially if cold. as it warms it gets more hoppy, more sweet and more barley wine’ish.

Jun 26, 2009 Bottle:Golden, cloudy with a huge fluffy off-white head, that slowly collapses; solid aromatic hoppy nose, backed by sweet and fruity malt and - no error - a tinge of smoked malt; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied; charcoal in the lingering bitter-sweet finish. Well hidden alcohol, all in all a well made, but unusual IPA...........

May 19, 2009 slowly poured into my lucky Republican President glass still produced a strong firm head over clear gold. agitated the slurry and poured out a thick viscous haze into the glass, now much more tarnished in appearance. Head still isn’t going anywhere. Strong Belgian golden yeast aroma with aggressive WC hops. Amazing. Grassy, sweet like nectar, thick honeyed texture, increasingly herbal through the finish.
