Draught @ <a href=http://ratebeer.com/events-detail.asp?eventID=6803 target= new> Zythos Bier Festival 2008, Sint Niklaas, Belgium. Unclear medium amber red - grey color with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light cherry and medicine, maybe chemical. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. (020308)

ZBF2008: From tap. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is mild chemical and cherry, subdued, aroma. Flavour is dry cherry, liqourice like note and a medical/chemical flavour to this. Finish holds a slight cherry note, but still with more of the same chemical/medical and slight burned plastic flavour. Seriously, stuff like this shouldn’t be presented and charged for and thereof not be rateable on RB.

Draught Very thick-creamy, good persistent yellow-pink head over brown beer with reddish/orange highlights. Maillard², fresh breadcrust, slightly overbaked, on a vanille flavoured raisins-bread. On the verge of rusttreatment, chemical. Sheer liquorice and more scorched breadcrust. Horrible... Medium bodied. Aftertaste is just one long lingering of this scorched rust treater. Ouch. Johan!
