| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 13, 2006 From a 11.2 oz bottle that was a gusher. Poured a hazy deep amber with a large bubbled, off white head that collapsed rather quickly. The aroma really threw me off before I knew that it was spiced. Pistacio nut was the closest thing I could come up with. Dried fruit and caramel are present, though not as strong as I would have expected from a beer this strong. Flavor is malty and sweet with some dried fruits from the dark candy sugar. That strange spice again confuses my senses, not bad but very interesting. There is a light bitterness in the finish which is welcomed due to moderate sweetness. Emil (6074), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 5, 2006 Golden-brown body with a white head. Malty aroma with fruit accents, very hard to define, a slight tang in the ending. Typical Belgian body, very complex with fruit accents. Possibly some bananna and light strawberries. Unusual ending, sweet start that moves to the back of th emouth with a spicy accent. The best way to describe this beer (and it’s not in a bad way) is very, very, odd.
