Commercial Description:
A dark and heavy ale - the strongest that the brewery has ever produced - in which three varieties of malt and two spices are utilised. It is brewed "in honour of" the Burgundian Babble Belt, a well known web-site on the Internet, where beer lovers can exchange all sorts of information.

Bottle: Cloudy gold color, lots of yeast sediment with a light white head. The nose is sweet and a bit funky with some rotten plum skins along with a light toasted malty belgian note. The alcohol isn’t too well known for 12%. The flavor is tart and chewy, a bit like a fig neuton, but with a burning feeling in the belly. Not the best BSA, but it falls in line.

Pours a hazy brownish amber, with no head. Sweet aroma laced with spices, maybe a hint of chocolate. Taste is sweet, but not cloying, it’s balanced enough to be quite drinkable. Alcohol is hidden for it’s strength. Mouthfeel is not heavy, and a touch sticky. An excellent brew.

Bottle. 2002 Vintage. Reddish amber brown beer with a beige head. Malt, raisin, fig, and plum in the aroma. Rich fruity malt flavor with some spice and caramel. Plum and dates. Lingering caramel sweet malt. Alcohol is noticeable. Slight lemon freshness at end.

Very lively pour; spicy and perfumey nose with lemon and pear fruitiness; chewy body holding toasty malt and some dark fruit notes such as raisons and dates; decent hop bite finish that’s a tad metallic; not very complex for a Belgian strong; alcoholic sting pretty apparent. OK.

Lots of sweetness with a quite bitter "pang" in the finish. Aroma toffee/caramel with hints of sweet spices (vanilla etc.). Toffee again in the flavour along with a touch of freshly mowed grass.

Me like it! Strong, full of sweetness....and though...after the starting sweetness the bitterness turns up...and the finish is real smooth and nice. Hides the 12 Abv real good.

Bottle. Murky reddish brown, low bubbly head. Sweet aroma of toffee, vanilla, almond, herbs and peppery alcohol. Sweet warming flavour of vanilla and toffee, notes of milkt chocolate caramel, herbs and grass. Clean and dense mouthfeel. Flat carbonation. Long malty finish of toffee hints alcohol, pepper and pine.

Huge foamy head with tons of sticky lacing. Cloudy amber/orange colors. Strong malts in the nose with a good dose of spices. Fruits and a touch of grassy hops. Flavor is hot and spicy. Lots of fruit and caramel. Finishes spicy laced with notes of alcohol. Thick.
