Commercial Description:
A dark and heavy ale - the strongest that the brewery has ever produced - in which three varieties of malt and two spices are utilised. It is brewed "in honour of" the Burgundian Babble Belt, a well known web-site on the Internet, where beer lovers can exchange all sorts of information.

11.2 oz. bottle 2003. Hazy brown color with red highlights and a small creamy tan head. Sweet, fruity, malty aroma with lots of caramel and dried fruits. Sweet caramel malt flavor with some dried fruit and an alcoholic bite on the finish.

A Mes rate: 33 cl bottle from somewhere in Bruges. Orange and a hint of ginger in the nose. Good looks. Dark hazy amber body with a chunky well behaved head and lots of lace. Spicy orange flavour, slightly acidic and not as sweet as I was expecting. There is some lemon in there too. Alcohol is masked pretty well. The candy sugar makes a brief appearance for the finish but instantly turns bitter leaving lingering orange notes. Nice creamy palate and not bad over all.

From 330 ml bottles at the Montreal YeHa! 2005. This is where the notes REALLY started to get hazy...I can read for sure, "typical...alcoholicz...good barfume (balance, I think)...he bal (herbal)"....I can get the numbers....and I remember hints of citrus and dried fruits, cherry-chocolate, and oregano...and I was about to go, soon would go, into that underground Realm of Deeper Slumber...

This bottled brew bottled in 2002 poured a small sized head of fine to medium sized of unnoted length light brown colored bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body contained unnoted carbonation, was semi-transparent with yest chunkc and orange red brown in color. Its aroma contained notes of fruity lambic like the aroma takes the breath out of ya. Its mouth feel is with a palate and a aftertaste. Its flavor contained strong vinous harsh vinuous spicy notes. Overpowering and gave me the beer shakes. A bit too harsh.

Poured a very cloudy, brick red color. Spicy aroma...fruits too..plums, oranges...pretty funky. Flavor is interesting, caramel malts, spicy yeasty coriander notes..caky malt edges. Not as full bodied as I’d hoped. Sweet and wine like in the end... very interesting. A nice sipper.

2002 vintage. A rich, red color with a dark cream- colored head that laces the glasss as it collapsed. I have rarely seen a head lace the glass upon deflation, yes as it is consumed, but rarely from pouring and settling. My major appearance knock is that even with a careful pour and the beer stayed still in my cellar for over two weeks, it was cloudy and dusty from a fine particulate matter, most likely yeast. Aroma was strangly very limited. I put the glass down several times then would smell again after a few minutes to get a limited amount of orangey, citric maltiness and some warm alcohol. Flavor lacked complexity as well. Sweet, fat malt and a tartness that remined me of citric acid or baby aspirin added to balance the beer are the main flavor components. On the upside, it was nice with some well-aged cheddar I pulled out of the fridge.

Medium brown color. Aroma is of wheat crakers. Tastes a bit like pickles and beef jerkey.
