| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 17, 2005 A cloudy juice with apple and pear. The smell, a yeasty odour with booze, like something not ready to serve. Taste and mouthfeel - so, so, was better than warmed. Faintest whisp of head and lace. Low carbonation, Cornfield (4963), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2005 Good strong drink. It pours out a hazy, cloudy brown with a suggestion of a head. The aroma is sweet, malty, with raisins and prunes and sweet spices. Very smooth in the mouth, it has a very yeasty fruitiness, a candy sweetness, and a slight alcohol presence. Very dry finish - this is a great warmer. Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 14, 2005 A very tasty, extremly yeasty and dry beer, with an attractive orange glow, a firm and frothy head, a vibrant, almost bursting aroma and a sticky, nearly cloying maltiness, yet it remains extremely soft and shows the delicacies of Belgian yeast and subtle spicing. legion242 (1586), Richardson, Texas, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 11, 2005 Hazy brown/garnet; minimal head. Unbelievably smooth. Muted dark fruits. Warming. Stays very subtle. The alcohol is well hidden until it heads your noggin. lululegrand (94), gent, Belgium

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Mar 12, 2005 I was not going to rate this but after some research I found out that bad batches of this are not exactly unheard of, and have been the experience of some raters. My bottle was completly flat, no carbonation at all, no palate. The aroma was excellent none of the less, spices, caramel, herbs ... complexity. Nevertheless although the bottle was flat the brew was drinkable, but nothing more than that ... I just find it weird and annoying that the quality control of the brewery isnt better than this
