Bottle picked up at the Lex/Larp Cellars going out of business sale. Pour was hazy amber brown with lasting carbonation with rich and sweet malty aroma. Flavor was brown sugar, spices, plum and finished with warming alcohol. Decent beer and worth a try.

Bottled sample via lubiere. Amber in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas of slightly sweet malts, yeast, ginger, coriander, and a bit of citrus. Medium bodied, with flavors of brown sugar, licorice, Indian cooking spices, more citrus, and a bit of plum. Very drinkable for a 12% ABV, with all sorts of spicy complexity. A nice warming and contempletive beer for the holiday season.

Aroma is particularly complex featuring cherry, apple, candy sweetness, licorice, and brandy. The beer looks pretty nice with a cloudy deep amber color. The head is very nice and is certainly retained throughout. The flavors are basically the same as the aromas, however balanced a little bit differently and all together a little weaker. Notes of apple, brandy, a bit of almost citrusy tartness, and some licorice shine through. This is very soft on the palate and the alcohol is barley detectable.

Pours a clear reddish amber with a thin tan head and noticeable lacing. Aroma is largely alcohol with detectable cinnamon and nutmeg. Taste is heavy malt up front, dissolving into cinnamon and nutmeg on the end. Slight alcohol burn on the end, and the beer is pretty smooth and drinkable overall. I liked this one very much.

Turbulent and angry. Very faint malt aroma. Taste of malt with background of cinnamon and nutmeg. Alcohol finish.
