Rich warm dark fruit aroma (wine frig temperature). Hazy reddish amber color with a fragile off-white head. Near medium body with creamy carbonation. Heat is noticeable. Very malty in a lightly roasted way, and the dark fruits, sort of plummy, are ever present. The finish is moderately dry, and there seems to be some bitter. Strong points are the aroma and interesting, slightly woody, finish. CapFlu (3483), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Poured a cloudy brown color similar to an unfiltered apple cider color. The tan head was about 1" and quickly faded to a thin foam film. A nice sweet aroma that hid the alcohol. A creamy feel to the beer and the taste of molasses, caramel and some chocolate at the finish. There was only the slightest hint of an alcohol taste for a 12% ABV beer Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 16, 2007 Pours a hazy brown with a decent head. The aroma has plenty of malts and yeast. I didn’t get most of the fruits and spices that everyone else mentioned... maybe I got a bad bottle? I’ll have to try it again to make sure, because I’ve had most of what this brewery has to offer and I’ve been really impressed by everything but this one. Not bad, but not the imagination I’ve come to expect from this brewery. french tickler (642), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 13, 2007 Poor is light brown with red hues and a small off-white head. Aromas of raisins, dates, prunes, bananas... very interesting! Nice sweetened, alocohol enduced, perfectly bitter mouthfeel. Full creamy body and nicely carbonated for a 12% beer. Added flavors of dark fruits and very hoppy. Very interesting brew, not spectacular yet still very good! thewolf (5758), Kolding, Denmark

Pours a beautiful deep red with lots of bubbles rising in the centre of the St. Feuillien glass I got. A little light bubbly off white head with little lacing. It keeps on being there because of the bubbles in the middle. Powerful fruity aroma with yeast, caramel, strawberries. Medium carbonation and extremely creamy mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour, vinious, warming. Caramel, yeast, toffee, Belgian sugar and some plums. I’d like to have a few of these for cellaring. Defreni (1005), Frederiksberg, Denmark
