Pours murky brown with a slightly off-white head. Nose is booze, apple, honey, wood, spice, sugary sweetness, fruit and goodness. Flavor is the same with enjoyable fruit pieces. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 10, 2009 Bottle. Total lack of carbonation is the first thing I notice. No hiss when the cap is taken off, no fizzy sounds during pour. This is a little disturbing, but I’m pressing on... Body is a slightly hazy brown. Aromas of brown sugar and other sweet and sugary stuff with a little bit of dates figs in terms of fruit. Flavor and mouthfeel are OK, but I was expecting quite a bit more. Water mixed with brown sugar would probably be just as good... especially if you threw in some port or something to give it some bite.
