The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and caramel. The flavor is also sweet with notes of spices, caramel and malt, as well as light notes of wood, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks KimJohansen for sharing. Papsoe (15091), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Pours a hazy, orangey brown with floating impurities and a tall, beige head that leaves some laces. Aroma of burned malt and yeast. Full-bodied with sweet, burned malts and yeast. Distinctly bitter finish - mainly from the hops I believe. Again a rather different Belgian take on an Impy. 160408 yespr (12313), Copenhagen O, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 16, 2008 Bottle. Clear dark red brown color with a huge, frothy - creamy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy hay, straw, pine needle, notes in the finish of licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, finish is dry. (Flavor is young and fresh). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to lively. (A very nice beer but a Imperial Stout ? no it’s a nice beer) (140208) MiP (9097), Sønderborg, Denmark

Aroma is spices, roasted malts, yeast and also some dry dark fruits. Flavour is spices, roasted malts, some wood, smoke and ashes. Very strange sweetish, but smoked and roasted brew. Still works quite well though. joergen (8617), Frederiksberg, Denmark
