Bottle sampled. Pours Brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of Dark fruit, caramel, spices, and sweetness. The flavor is smooth for 9%, dark fruit, spices, caramel, and a very malty body. Good brew.

The aroma is fairly strong with mashed dark fruits, lightly tart fruit skins, yeast, mashed veggies (think Gerber) and brown sugar. The body is a muddy, ruddy brown and holds a creamy, but diminishing tan head. Cocoa, chocolate, burnt caramel in the fore. Has some burnt raisin and yeast notes too. Finishes mellow with a substantial chocolate flavor and mild black pepper notes.

Pour is a hazy brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a very deep caramel with lots of sugar on top. Flavor is some dark fruit with some candi sugar and caramel malts. Overall this is just so-so for a Belgain. The flavor is a bit watery and the aroma relies to much on the sweetness. Not as eye opening as some Belgains.

Hazy, muddy brown color, big creamy brownish head, lace. Spicey and ashy aroma. Vegetables, spices, dry mouthfeel. Crisp carbonation. Flavors which were at first strange, opened when I read from the bottle that this contains dates - yes, there is some dried dates plus strange woody flavors.

Bottle. Poured a hazy brown with an average frothy light brown head that was mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Heavy malt, dark fruit and vanilla aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture. Full balanced fruity bittersweet flavor with the same long finish with a very small alcohol tone. Good well balanced warmng brew.

Tons of yeast and some alcohol in the aroma. Hazy copper body with a medium palate. Yeast taste up front with some hints of citrus, caramel malt and light spices. Nice double.
