Very cloudy copper body with a large creamy head. Aroma is nutty, herbal spices and a lager-ish wet-carpet smell. Body feels full of flavourless malt, creamy without the roastiness or caramel flavours. Some unpleasant leather on the attack then some berries and liquorice in an “All-Bran” cereals body. Short finish with very little hops presence. Rather smooth for a 9%. Nothing special. They need to work on this recipe some more, and with a dubbel at 9% and a trippel at 9% they need to work on their math too.

Rocky, off-white head. Deep amber body. Ok lace. complex aroma of raisins, malts, liquopr, dark fruit, ... Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavour. The flavour is not as complex as the aroma though, which is a bit disappointing.

Bottle. High creamy white and lasting head. Hazy and thick looking orange body. Barley malt aroma with notes of oranges, hay, hops and alcohol. Sweet and spicy flavor with a short dry aftertaste.

From a stubby 11.2 oz. bottle with short description on the front label, no freshness date. Poured a hazy amber with foamy, rocky head, good retention, settled into a sudsy lacing, fair amount of foam sticking. Aromas of musty yeasty, a light date fruitiness, spices, and caramelized malts. Good carbonation and a crisp, carbonated smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel. Nice date fruitiness with a light honey, musty, bready yeast, spices, the hops are pretty soft, caramelized sugary malts, the alcohol is very light with only a subtle warmth, and a dry yeasty, malty finish. A very nice dubbel, easy drinkability, quaffable with the alcohol sneaking up on you.

Pours a two finger light tan head that fades slowly to a thin layer leaving some lace. Cloudy amber color, ton of yeast in bottom of bottle. Light carbonation and medium bodied. Malty nose. Starts sweet and raisiny, smooth, high ABV is not noticeable some hops in finish. $3.99 for a 330ml bottle from John’s Grocery Iowa City, Ia.

Bottle. Hazy dark brown colour, lots of yeast left in the bottle. Aroma of "dubbel". Flavour is a bit sour, well hidden alcohol.

Beer 4 of the night. A nice rich caramel raisin aroma, the taste is fairly standard for a dubble, with a little funky finish. Hard to find the name on the site
