| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jul 15, 2009 Bottled. A hazy amber beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of spices - cloves and coriander as well as phenol and a bit of yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of phenol, yeast, caramel, yeast, lemon, and spices, leading to a dry phenolic finish. thornecb (1779), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Bottle @ La Trappe, SF. Pours a cloudy golden color, lots of suspended debris; great, rocky head. Hints of orange zest, maybe grapes (?), coriander. VERY carbonated body, some spicy citrus, slightly yeasty finish, muted by the biting carbonation. Not as funky as I had hoped, a rare miss from de Regenboog. patrick767 (2033), fort wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | May 25, 2009 bottle? Forgot to say in my notes - Pours blonde with a moderate sized white head. The mild aroma has some bready malt and citrus. It tastes of weet pale malt up front that gives way to a good balance of citrus accented hops with some spice and a bitter, dry finish. Pretty good. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Pretty much one that can only be classified as a "Belgian Ale". Peculiarly spiced, but still balances with the sweet candi sugar and yeast. Never overwhelming alcohol-wise, with a great creamy effervescence. Highly complex..sweet, sour, spiced, yeasty, hoppy... an interesting concoction. I’ll be back.
