heemer77 (3782), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 23, 2008 Dark amber orange body with a light khaki head. The aroma is sweet with some pears and cinnamon. There is also some more interesting earthy tropical fruit, like mango. The taste has some rich caramel and mango. There is also a nice herbal and medicinal finish. It hints at Band Aids, but not quite. Good, but obviously boozy and just a little off. Old_Mr_Crow (1044), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark caramel orange with a modest head. Heavy flavor, sweet with lots of smoky, peaty whisky.
Very enjoyable. I was quite pleasantly surprised. Curious stuff, but definitely good. MrChopin (206), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2008 Notes are a little... uh... cloudy. Dark, opaque amber with a nice sized off-white head. Nose of citrus, sugar, banana, raisins, a little oaky. Similar flavor, with some alcohol. Spicy, full-body. I enjoyed this high quality beer, but it’s not as complex or cohesive as others that I’ve had. argo0 (6231), Washington DC, USA Sep 1, 2008 (33cl bottle) Small off-white head atop slightly hazed copper body. Aroma is moderately sweet, whisky, berry, some caramel, light rye. Taste is moderately sweet, caramel, whisky, berry, some cantaloupe, light nut. No sign of the coriander from the description. Medium-full body, fairly effervescent. Sammy (3139), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 10, 2008 This brewery has been barrel-ageing up a storm and this is no exception. The whiskey is prominent. It is good looking and most drinkable, despite the booziness which is apparent. Average mouthfeel.
