Warm nose of whisky, leather, wood and maple syrup. Kind of like a maple sugar christmas ham and a glass of whisky. Lots of smoke. Sticky. Not quite as good or refined as the De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva I had last night which is matured in Bordeaux casks. Even though I agree that it is really rough, I do like whisky a lot so... =) WeeHeavySD (3040), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Pours orange with a half finger tan head. The nose is sweet and yeasty and has hints of spice. Taste is overall fresh and bold with some fruit and spice. Just had a glass of scotch before this, not sure how it shifted my palate. Not amazing but decent. Tmoney99 (4780), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
