Pours a slightly hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is caramel, oak, vanilla, some spice, maybe a hint of infection, and alcohol. Flavor is oak, whiskey, caramel, some astringency, and a warming alcohol finish.

Poured a hazy amber color with an off-white head. Fairly fruity aroma with some sweetness. Yeasty nose. Fruity sweet flavor with a dry bitter finish. Touch of alcohol to the taste. Warming in the chest. Medium bodied. Notes of earthy leather as it warmed.

330. Cloudy burnished mahogany with bright medium amber highlights. Definite bright green apple nose. Medium, fairly lively and fizzy body. Sour apple and red apple skin mid-palate. Clean finish. Nice stuff.

Poured a hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, nuts, wood, coriander, smoke, citrus, and light alcohol. Taste was sweeter, maple, raisins, vanilla, caramel malts, with a touch of wood, and alcohol. The whiskey flavor was really toned down.

Pours dark amber/red with a thin fine head. Warm nose of whisky, leather, wood and maple syrup. Kind of like a maple sugar christmas ham and a glass of whisky. Lots of smoke. Sticky. Not quite as good or refined as the De Dolle Oerbier Special Reserva I had last night which is matured in Bordeaux casks. Even though I agree that it is really rough, I do like whisky a lot so... =)

20th Rating of this brew, 12ozer, I think this was a bonus or a gift but I can’t recall. Pours orange with a half finger tan head. The nose is sweet and yeasty and has hints of spice. Taste is overall fresh and bold with some fruit and spice. Just had a glass of scotch before this, not sure how it shifted my palate. Not amazing but decent.

Bottle from River’s Bend. Poured hazy brown color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Complex aroma of yeasty, bourbon, woody and sweet spice. Body was medium with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Flavor was sweet & tart fruit with a medium bittersweet smooth finish of moderate duration. Good, not great beer.

Sampled at "An evening with Pantanap #2", from West Lakeview Liquors, Chicago. Red orange color with no head. Sweet semi-smoke aroma with lots of fruit and spice. Flavor is very barrel forward with lots of alc and some aged fruit. Very hot medium body. Okay.
