Bottle: Cloudy burgundy color with an off-white film for head. Vinous nose, with some oxidized malts and herbal, raisiny suggestions. Elegant aroma. Nice fluffy body. The flavor has a nice tartness all around. Vinous, with some green raisin brightness. There’s some oxidized malt in the background, somewhat grainy notes, accompanied by a nutty spice character as well. There’s prolonged vinous qualities into the finish. Individualistic, and tasty Belgian Strong Ale.

On tap at Map Room, Chicago. I didn’t know anything about this beer when sampled. I told my brother-- it tastes like someone mixed a Belgian strong ale with grapefruit juice. Strong tart citrus flavor. Not exaclty my cup of tea-- but might be refreshing on a warm summer day.
