Sweet aroma of overripe to dried fruity and a solid caramel malt base. Flavour is quite sweet, mix of bread and fruit with a light sour and sweet brown sugarish mix. Light yeasty note lurking through. I would say that this is cloyingly sweet, but somehow it works okay if you’re prepared for it. nick76 (2657), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Apr 16, 2008 The aroma does have raisins, honey, malt, vinegar, and yeast. The appearance is amber with a nice head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is average. I don’t really like this one. Palidor19 (1773), Brandon, Florida, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 16, 2008 alright, this is not what I was expecting and I do not enjoy this. There is a strong taste of raisins and malts. However, the sour notes just don’t seem to mix well with the rest of the beer. This style might work with certain people but not me WeeHeavySD (2970), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA

Nose is full of sweet raisans. Taste is sweet and potent with hints of raisans. This was quite nice in my opinion. Maverick34 (701), New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 24, 2008 Bottled. A very sour tasting beer. Pours a reddish color with a soury aftertaste. Not too bad. Syd (898), Waconia, Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Mar 13, 2008 Small bottle pours pretty clear ruby color with a nice head, but none to spotty lace. The aroma is citrus, leather, Penicillium roqueforti, dark fruits, and spice. The flavor is serious fruit (tastes like a cider), sweet and sour, very wet, apple cider, with some wood in the finish. The palate is wet, sweet, fizzy, and very quaffable. Overall, if I were thirsty in high summer, I could drink a gallon of this. As it is, I am not that thirsty, but I like it well enough. I performed a yeast agitation and pour and it really does not change much. The sweetness and fruit do not change at all. FatPhil (3472), Espoo, Finland

Hazy deep red. Sweet dark fruits and sourness. Sourness in the taste also - nice - and fruity sharpness, with liquorice and burnt malts. Perhaps even toffee in the finish. Good strong slightly sour beer. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 11, 2008 Rusty red beer with a small foamy white head. Striking tangy fruit aroma. Brown sugar and plum stand out. The flavor hints at being sour but honey sweetness wins in the end. From sip to sip I get hints of tangy orange, bitter lemon peel, and fruit cocktail in light syrup. Amazing.
