(pretty aged bottle/out of memory) Amber-brown colour, end of bottle fully opaque; head gone in secs. Sourish - severe woody nose, even a bit mouldy, but in a nice way, vinous. Sourish-sweet taste, wood, dates, lactic acid, vintage wine. Medium bodied, typical texture of old alcoholic drink. Portwine notes in the aftertaste especially. Very nice beer, graced with age, with gave it an Oud Bruin characteristic.

(Bottle 33 cl) Dark brown and hazy with a light brown head. Lots of malt here (four different) very roasted notes and obvious notes of the added honey and candi sugar. Very sweet, rich and full-bodied beer. 140798

Sweet: honey, caramel... Better than his blond brother.

Bottle conditioned, 3 year old?, ZBF 2004. Red brown, moderate head and condition. Malty and faintly oxidised in the nose with traces of sweet honey. Quite thin in the mouth with more cardboard and honey, plus some fruity berry notes. Slight tingle of dry bitterness in the finish.

dark brown colour, nice head and lace, honey aroma with some fruity notes, oily, thick, sparkling, sweet and slightly sour, moderate malty and honeyish finish - balanced and interesting

Sweet. A bit the taste of roasted barley.

Amber color (just half tone darker than the Honigbier). Malt aroma, caramel, sweet, light phenol. Quite dry mouthfeel, thinner than the Honigbier, with more carbonation feeling and a bit stronger caramel, otherwise equivalent.

No head, but a fine color. Honeyaroma. Very sweet and syrupy flavor, with honey and melon. In fact too sweet to be called a really good beer.
