33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink honey ale, not complex, not balanced, cloudy, small head, nothing special, needs to be revised

Pours with a small head and leaves a sticky lacing. The color is a very muted, dark, thick, murky dirty golden. Aroma is strong with light tartness and semi-sweet berry esters. Then there is a meatiness and light bark. Don’t know where Johan gets these weird aromas (in this case a weird combination of strong yeast and honey). Taste becomes a bit lacking, losses all those esters and berry/fruit. Left is a bland meaty-tea flavors. Its a bit briny as well. Despite my weird descriptors there was nothing offensive about it. Easy drinking, a nice brew.
33cL bottle from Bier Temple, dated 2nd quarter of 2008 (??), hotel room plastic cup on 5/17/08.

Bottle. Clear medium orange amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, caramel, moderate yeasty, light honey. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (050308)

Bottle. Unclear, golden colour with a little white head. Aroma of malt and hints of honey. Flavour of malt, caramel, yeast, and something undiscribeable?!

Bottle. Clear amber. Sweet bit mouldy and bit fruity aroma. The flavour is a bit mouldy with some sourness, malt and bit of caramel. Past date?

Bottle @ Yespr tasting.
[thank you, Yespr]
Pours lightly orange amber with a small off white film head. Aroma is sweet, honey and lightly herbal. Fine mouthfeel. Flavour is lightly musky, herbal, some honey. It is okay, but it seems a bit weird and perhaps even a few days past its due?

[Courtesy of yespr - session @ yespr] Hazy muddy orange with tiny head. Sweet aroma with honney notes. Sweet and somewhat unbalanced flavor. Must be a vintage that didn’t make it…

33 cL bottle. Pours clear golden orange with a lacing white head. light spiced and mild soapy aroma. Flavour is earthy, herbal and slight acidic. Goes into a light herbal finish. Strange and undefineable - but not unpleasant.
