Bad vegemite aroma, with some fruity esters there too. Flavour is unfortunately dominated with a yeasty, vegemite edge that covers the subtle fruit, honey and spices. Not good. fatty (363), Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Nov 18, 2005 33cl bottle. Poured a medium orange color with a larger sized off white head. Aromas of mainly honey with some yeast. Sour and tart tasting with honey. I wonder if this was a bad bottle or not as I see other raters use the words sour & tart in their descriptions and the aroma was fine. If this is what they are going for, I didn’t care for it at all. Almost reminded me of a Flemish Sour gone bad. TomDecapolis (3221), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 17, 2005 Thanks to Hopdog. Pours a hazy copper orange with an average off white lacing head. Aroma of honey and molasses. Flavor is very...sour and way carbonated. Thinking this one went south. The bottle had some stuff that appeared to be growing around the top of it. Drain pour. Will re-rate if I can get my hands on another bottle. TBone (6868), Pori, Finland

(RB has an old label)
Hazy amber brown, not much head. Caramelly, sour yeasty, burnt sugar mixed with honey aroma. Carbonated, sourish-bitter, peppery with hints of honey . Quite interesting brew, not sweet as you could expect from honey beer. sayravai (3786), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 27, 2005 (Bottled, labeled "’t Smisje Honing" - not sure if its Bruin or not) Muddy amber-brown color with a medium, bubbly and mostly fading head. Huge amount of sediment in the bottle. Acidic, raw-malty, very realistic (not sweet) honey aroma. Very acidic, quite bitter and not at all sweet flavor with very little honey in the background. Light to medium-bodied, very foamy-carbonated palate. Didn’t exactly fall in love with this one: no fancy looks, lots of acidity and carbonation, so-so flavor and aroma. Well, at least it’s not sweet. Papsoe (15109), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 8, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Dark golden beer with a fairly small, white head. If you fear a cloyingly sweet beer from the honey you’re dead wrong. Actually the bitter hops are much more accentuated than the sweetness. OK, but average. 110798 omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden
