SSSteve (2047), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 30, 2009 bottle. hazy reddish brown under a large creamy beige head. pear syrup, apple, caramel in aroma. palate is full bodied with lots of sharp carbonation. flavors of caramel, apple, pear, yeasty. sweet. just the slightest touch of alcohol warmth. don’t really get any spices. a touch grassy at times. solid and tasty. CanIHave4Beers (835), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Aug 14, 2009 Updated: Aug 17, 2009Pours a really hazy reddish brownish color with a nice head. Aroma is apples, but not the sharp tart kind, almost like calvados, with some cordial like sweetness and some alcohol. The flavor is very alcoholic with some nuttiness, some toffee, and some cherries. The flavor is a little yeasty. The spices are very muted in this beer, or at least they’re kind of hidden behind the booze. Not a whole lot of subtlety here, but it’s not bad. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée bourgogne avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un large col beige mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre.
