Bottle sampled on 3/8/07: Pours a slightly hazy dark orange copper with a nicely-lacing light tan head. Sweet, slightly toasty bready caramel malty aroma. Body starts with a sweet biscuity dark caramel maltiness with a touch of earthy hops. Finishes slightly warming. A decent Belgian strong ale.

Slight gusher. Hazy to cloudy copper/brown color with a tall head that settles to a rocky, actually more moundy, beige head. Over-ripe fruit (think about a fruit salad that has been in the refrigerator too long) with cherries, bananas, pears, apple, pineapple and grapes. Some caramel and alcohol creep in. Brown sugar flavor start, with lightly toasted malt, raisins, cookie dough all wrapped in a rusty can. The metal seems to keep coming the longer you sit on this one. Finish is rusty and the linger has husky malt and herbal hops component. Sometimes stronger is not better.

Pour murky amber with a uncontrollably billowing tan head. Aromas of fruit cocktail, and candied ginger. The flavor is full of spice. A lot of it. A lot of alcohol too. Burn baby burn. Medium bodied. Lots of burn.

PP 12-Hour Belgian Beer Fest...Pours with a cloudy amber-brown body topped by a thin head with little lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a slightly sour and bitter note as well as some dark and slightly rotten fruit notes. Full bodied, smooth and a touch dry.

Ruby/amber/brown topped by 4cm of immovable, frothy tan head. Nose of cotton candy, corriander, mild berries, bready and lightly zesty yeast, with rich malt in the background throughout. Flavor adds some subtle anise, steps up the malt presence, and some alcohol warmth in the finish. Full/medium body, balanced carbonation. Solid brew.
