Ruby/amber/brown topped by 4cm of immovable, frothy tan head. Nose of cotton candy, corriander, mild berries, bready and lightly zesty yeast, with rich malt in the background throughout. Flavor adds some subtle anise, steps up the malt presence, and some alcohol warmth in the finish. Full/medium body, balanced carbonation. Solid brew.

Poured a hazy dark amber color with a medium sized off-white head. Aroma of bananas and some lemon. Caramel underneath. Fruity and yeasty with notes of banana and some spice. Lively mouth feel. The body is medium to full and warming. The alcohol hides well. Moderately sweet.

330ml bottle, poured dark amber, with slightly off-white creamy bubbles, fragrances of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, fresh grapes, white grape juice, some roasted malts, faint spices in the aroma, some hop fragrance, little cinnamon, coriander and cardamom, taste of malt, cream, sweet, sour, caramel, some pepper and apple, hop bite on the tongue, some alcohol in the background that gets stronger and lingers in the after taste, the alcohol became more prominent as the brew warmed, I see this making a great Winter Warmer, I wished the alcohol was hidden more, it made the drink harsh towards the end.

Bottle from Ken Sheathers Wines Cheltenham 24-02-07. Pours a dark slightly murky brown with white frothy substantail head. Some pleasant spicey notes, taste was really rather nice, very full bodied caramel sweetness but also tailing off with a nice sour edge, alcohol quite noticeable but not in a negative way really good beer.

11.2 oz. bottle. Moderately strong, hefeweizen-like aroma features orange notes and a somewhat dusty smell (but not in a bad way). Pours a very cloudy, tawny red/brown with a large amount of thick, bubbly, short-lasting, off-white head and nice lacing. Sweet flavor includes a strong taste of alcohol, reminiscent of gin. Pepper bitterness. Ginger and orange flavors. Tastes like a concentrated German beer. Apart from the alcohol, all of the flavors are subdued. Thick and creamy, almost syrupy, in the palate. Sweet and spicy aftertaste. A pleasant and noteworthy but imperfect brew.

Draft, Max’s 3rd Annual Belgian Beer Festival. Hazy, reddish-honey color; headless. Sweet, candy sugar and ester aroma. Light carbonation; medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: lots of candy sugar, honey, esters and yeast; slightly one-dimensional. Medium, sweet candy sugar finish.
