May 9, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown beer with a very, very strong head. The aroma is very mulled and sweety spiced, and the flavour is very sweet with a touch of bitterness and sourness at the finish. Overall a reasonable beer.

May 1, 2009 Poured a thick muddy brown with a very thick foamy beige head with good retention. Aroma is rich maltiness, yeast, spices and wood. Flavour is much more sweet then expected. Red fruits, brown sugar, spices with a bitter final. Medium to full body with a fizzy carbonation.

Apr 26, 2009 Bottle. Matly and very hazy brown pour with plenty of carbonation. Very sweet malty and spicy aroma. Flavor was initially light honey, then some peppery spice and finished light and sweet/dry. A good beer, but didn’t leave me wanting more.

Apr 25, 2009 Bottle: Poured a murky dirty brow color ale with a super large foamy head with great retention and great lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with typical Belgian malt and light spices mix. Taste is also a very well balanced mix between somerich sweet Belgian malt well balanced by some spices such as coriander and a spicy peppery yeast finish. Body is full with limited filtration and great carbonation with no alcohol was apparent.

Apr 17, 2009 Bottle provided by Beerlando. Pours hazy amber with a large, fizzy, white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (toffee, caramel, straw), average hops (flowers, perfume), heavy yeast (earth, horse blanket) with notes of pear, alcohol, candy, and cardamom. Full bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and an alcoholic-dry finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Apr 17, 2009 I have to admit I’m skeptical right away. I don’t think I do grain of paradise in my beer. Crazy muddy brown, murky yeasty sludge. Smells like moldy oranges, not sure what that means or what I think about that. Candied sweetness, dark with malt, dense with flavor, but I don’t get much spice, save for a little coriander and juicy mandarin orange on the finish. Hidden heat.

Apr 13, 2009 Bottle. High and dlong lasting creamy off-white head. Hazy dark orange body. Powerful lemon grapefruit aroma with grassy notes and hops but no alcohol ! Oranges lemon coriander hops flavor with a long bitter aftertaste and a high carbonation. Alcohol well hidden.

Feb 27, 2009 bottle, thanks to SHIG, from the Essen Christmas beer fest leftover sale, pours dark hazy amber with a tall light tan head. Dark malt and fruit nose with notes of orange, cherry, and light alcohol. Taste is sweet and fruity with sweet dark malt, fruity esters, and a grapefruit/apple flavor. Ends with a lingering fruityness and a light alcohol burn. Good stuff.
