It has a common flavor, but also a bit spicy, woody and sour; there are sweet nuts too. Refreshing. KimJohansen (7130), Copenhagen V, Denmark

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 10, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris O’s Pre GBBF Tasting Amber gold with a thin off white head. Very fruity aroma with some good sherberty hop and slight spice. The flavour is totally dominated by metal. Not sure if we had a bad bottle but I just can’t do this beer justice with that much metal in it. Magicdave6 (5551), London, Greater London, England

Alround rating: Theres some tart character in whats a fairly basic belgian ale, yeasty and grassy. Not really hot at all. JorisPPattyn (5189), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Nov 4, 2006 Good, effervescent head, reducing itself to 2cm and then remaining stable, slightly pinkish coloured; over hazy-ish amber beer. Medicinal - fruity nose, characteristic for the Regenboog. Fruitiness has - even in the nose - a tart component: no doubt the sloeberries manifesting themselves. Further a strange, but not unpleasant "old" aroma - like parchment or old books. The medicinal taste, again, but shortlived and restrained. Then it is extremely dry, its fruity dimension notwithstanding. Being sloeberries, it could have been rosehips or similar: a mixture of dry, wild fruit and dry oriental (not hot) spices. Taste grows on me. Dry, dry, near tart palate. Refreshing all the same - remarkable! I cannot say whether I like this better or less than the ordinary Sleedoorn. It is... remarkable.
Beer is ready at the brewery, but as yet sampled unlabeled; name might still change. anders37 (4760), Malmö, Sweden
