Frothed like an Alka Seltzer when I poured it and settled almost immediately to the net result of zero. Not an impressive start. Apricot and orange in the nose. A little artificial and one dimensional. Cloudy orange appearance with a head that departed long long ago. Very very odd flavour. Tastes kinda like an Alka Seltzer too. Not really sure what to say. My judgement is totally clouded on this one. Beers should not remind me of a hangover remedy. schuimkroaat (395), Leuven, Belgium
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 15, 2006 33 cl bottle, bottled / ’bbe’ ? Pale red, reminiscent of a raspberry lambic. Fine but very dense turbidity, small frothy head. Aroma: dry, woody, sour, fruity - plums (a dash of sweet, rich cake with plum filling my mother sometimes makes); again some likeness to lambic. Sour-sweetish, light fruity taste with a dry, woody, sour-bitter finish giving off fruit stone notes. Smooth and prickling body. joergen (8621), Frederiksberg, Denmark

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 14, 2006 I’m not sure when the bottle I had was brewed, but it must have had some age on it (from the cellar of Delerium Cafe, Brussels). Not much of the sweetness mentioned in other ratings. A tart, fruity, complex aroma of apricots and balsamic vinegar that immediately got the saliva glands going. Not much head. Light bodied like many sour Belgian beers. Immediate lactic flavor with astringency and berry flavors like chewing on crab apples or choke cherries - in a good way. The aroma continued to please until the beer was finished. Nothing like any Christmas or winter beer I’ve ever had - almost more thirst-quenchingly summery. Definitely not what I expected, but enjoyable anyway. sayravai (3752), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 9, 2005 (Bottled) Hazy light amber color with a huge, foamy head with some lace. Quite strong berry aroma with some sourness. Stingy, somewhat like the Swaf!’s. Sourish and quite acidic flavor with (probably sloe-) berries. Quite light-bodied and watery, high- and foamy-carbonated palate. A bit like berry lambic, only much more carbonated and not quite as tart. Interesting, but definitely not very enjoyable. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2005 Fruity, peppercorn, apricot, white cranberries, lightly tart, citrus, leather and grape in the nose. Opaque tan-orange, grapefruit juice like appearance with a decent white head that recedes to cover with excellent lacing. Strong, tart, fruity, flavour with graoefruit and herbal hops apparent and light botterness. Dry medium body with somewhat watery texture and low carbonation.
