On tap at Max’s on Broadway Belgian Beerfest. Poured an unfiltered golden color with little head. Very fruity with a nice spice flavor at the end. Really good pumpkin style beer. Probably never see it again but would definitely go after it if I do.

Bottle... Murky golden ale with a large, rocky, white head. Terrific, fifteen minute retention. The fruity, yeasty aroma is infused with notes of tropical fruit, pear, apricot, white bread and apple. Full-bodied with a Half & Half® mouthfeel and ticklish carbonation. Chock full of fruity esters and spicy, smoky phenols. Moderate bitterness from hops and alcohol. Finishes mildly sweet, lightly bitter and minerally. A big SHOUT goes out to ygtbsm94 for floating this beer to me from across the pond!

Bottle of t Smisje Halloween. A bright hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head, and some hefty yeast chunks. A rather small faint aroma for such a strong beer, rather vegetal in character, light anise, and alcohol. In mouth, interesting but harsh, with light candy sugar, coriander, yeast, but there si some sort of raspyness which I fing unsettling. The alcohol doesn’t come out too much, nothing the strength of this beer. BB 2011. Bieropholie import.

33 cL bottle, as t Smisje Halloween. Pours hazy orange with small floating yeast sediments. A little off-white head. Sweet aroma with notes of dried fruit. Flavour is sweet caramel, malty, dried fruity to overripe and with a mellow yeast note. Light pumpkin note. Lingering fruity and yeasty finish.

Sampled as part of the Capital Ale House Kerstbier Festival. Somewhat difficult to figure out what it actually was at first, as it was called "Regenboog Speciale 2007," but after conferring with maniac, this is definitely it, particularly since they both had pumpkin. Not that I could taste pumpkin, even when looking for it, so on to the rating. Medium hazy peachy gold apperance, head fades entirely. Perfumey aroma, violets actually. Flavor matched. I didn’t get anything particularly pumpkin pie oriented out of this, just way too much perfume for me. Not that this was bad, just not my favorite. The rating is actually a bit higher than it should be in my opinion.

Bottle, picked up from Hop Duvel, Gent. Had this Christmas Eve 07 Poured looking marginally better than its stablemate the Dubbel IPA but still not quite the fine specimen in the picture to the left, mine was indeed hazy amber but with only a tiny rim of bubbles. slightly sour funky spicy nose some fruit. Nice soft spritzy carbonation tangy, punchy some nutmeg there maybe can’t really notice the pumpkin much, easy drinking and very tasty.

Bottle, at ’t Brugs Beertje, Brugge, March 2006. Gold, good white head and moderate condition. Gentle sweet maltiness in the nose, full bodied spicy and sweet in the mouth and lingering sweetness in the finish.
