| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Beautiful, generous and creamy white head over a amber body, slightly hazy. Alcohol, yeast, apricot in the nose; hay and a flower field. Tastes strongly malty and definitely sweet, almost cloying. Low spice profile. Full bodied. Decent complexity and balance, I just doubt it’s a good example for the style. anders37 (4700), Malmö, Sweden

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 29, 2006 Fraught yellow color, much dense one and hazy, optimal fizz; presence of some sediments. Light head, a lot escaping. Extremely alcoholic with clear mildew and winy scent . Decided, solid, warm and overbearing alcoholic taste. Notes of whiskey and nearly grappa. Decidedly sweetish and mellow with a long end. Too many excesses by me. Dalle (1146), Skørping, Denmark

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Bottle@Delirium, Brussels. Quite strong and alcoholic in the nose and flavor. Lots of stewed peary/peachy fruit, with some yeasty bitterness and alcohol burn in the finish. I like it, but its strong and it shows. oh6gdx (8839), Vasa, Finland
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 22, 2006 Bottled. Hazy nutbrown colour, big foamy off-white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, alcohol and yeast. Yeast pieces also floating around the glass. Flavour is fruity, yeasty, a bit barnyardish and spicy. Spices and alcohol dominate the finish. Wellbalanced, but a bit boring. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 21, 2006 Bottle (10.5%, newer label): Cloudy orange coloured with a short white head. A few yeast floaties, even with a careful pour and sitting for a week. Aroma is midly bready and has a strong fresh fruit element. Some light allspice there too. Flavour has fresh fruit, mild light pepper and spice along with a hint of alcohol. Not bad, but not the best tripel I’ve had.
