Aroma is tropical fruity with suggestions of pineapple and peach, dusty hops, vinegar, and the merest sniff of the mustard knife. Earthy, herbal and well-integrated with a hint of sourness, presumably from the mustard. But would never have identified it without reading the bottle. Soapy bitterness and a dab more mustard late on. A very sippable curiosity. Dedollewaitor (3753), Odense, Denmark
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Vintage 2003: Amber gold with a off white head. Sweet herbal & spicy aroma and taste - nearly cloying. Medium bodied. Very concentrated & strong overall! Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2007 Brewed with mustard seeds but their flavor has well-integrated into the mash because I can’t taste it. Nice and refreshing beer, although also thin and not memorable. Beerdedone (1885), Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 20, 2007 Bottle sampled. Pours light amber with a one finger off-white head. Aroma of malts, mustard, some fruit, and a touch of hops. Flavor is sweet and acidic with mild caramel, fruits, mustard, and some spices with a tangy spicy finish. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 16, 2007 I’m not gonna lie.. I’ve been a bit scared to try this. Poured a lovely shade of medium orange with a short cap of whitish head and large sticky bubbles on the side of the glass.. good start. The aroma picked up a whole bunch of sourness.. rather along the lines of a (Flemish) sour ale.. some spices (faint mustard along with some moderate-intensity-but-I-can’t-place-‘em spices) paired with hay and more sourness.. not quite right. The flavor also had a pervasive, dry sourness throughout.. some toffee sweetness, and a bunch of spices again (mustard was light).. dry, vinegary, not-so-pleasant finish. Too sour on the palate (infected?) and perhaps medium-bodied.. just a wholly unsatisfying experience, but not in the way I feared. Bockyhorsey (2552), Mesa, Arizona, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 11, 2007 Bottle. Aroma has some floral, yeasty bread and mustard. Hazy gold body with white head. Flavor was spicey mustard up front. The spice diminishes and you get a sour tart not overwhelming to the palate by middle to finish of beer. Zesty sourness aftertaste left on the palate good brew. xibalba89 (147), New York, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2007 Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a nice fizzy head. The aroma delivers the mustard seeds as promised and has some subtle floral notes. The flavor (more mustard and light malts) isn’t too strong, this beer is more about the aroma and texture... the texture has a fizzy start and is nice and oily the rest of the way. It’s a pretty nice and refreshing beer... I’m surprised is has such a low rating on here, it definitely deserves better than that. RblWthACoz (963), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 15, 2007 Pours a cloudy golden amber with a off white head that leaves a lot of lacing. Nose is yeasty and alive with a touch of fruit edge. Flavor is unusual as it’s influenced by the mustard seeds. Smooth and even, there is a definite mustard edge to it, but not one so powerful that it makes things gross. Feel is thick with carbonation. Overall this one is definitely worth trying. I mean how often do you see beer that is brewed with mustard sees? Right? Even though it is sort of gimmicky, I might still consider going back to this one at some point. Just after I try all the other beautiful gems I happen to come upon.
