11oz Bottle: Pours a cloudy honeyish orange with a vanishing fizzy tan head. Sweet Belgian malt aroma, banana like yeastyness, clove and a hint of candi sugar. The flavor is slightly tart and acidic with a sour/spicy hint reminiscent of mustard (duh). It remind me of sweet and sour sauce with the spicy flavors clashing with the sweet maltyness. Slightly fruity with some sour apple notes, spicy apricots and a malt driven finish. An interesting and unique brew, not bad.

Pours a hazy yellow orange. Nice sweet aromawith an earthy feel to it. Flavor has a nice sour bite on the front and finishes with a good sweetness. I don’t get the mustard too much, but the candi sugar sweet/sour is definately noticeable.

Brown botlle, 33 cl, best before second quarter of 2009; eye: burnt orange, lightly hazy, really light effervescence, nice white head that eventually falls but remains as in inviting bed on top of the beer; nose: hops (grapefruit), tiny presence of mustard, caramelized malt, Belgian bread, coriander; mouth: malt, mustard (?), spcices, peppery hops, surprisingly smooth, finale in malt with a good presence of spices, lightly astringent, thin, mildly bitter, lightly sweet, really lightly sour, medium boyd, good carbonation; overall: better than expectations FRANÇAIS Bouteille brune, meilleure avant deuxième trimestre 2009; oeil : brune orangé, légèrement voilée, très légère effervescence, belle mousse blanche qui tombe éventuellement mais se transforme en un petit lit douillet; nez : houblon (pamplemousse), infime présence de moutarde, malt caramélisé, pain belge, coriandre; bouche : malt, moutarde (?), épices, houblon piquant, curieusement douce, finale en malt avec une bonne dose d’épices, légère astringence, mince, moyennemnt amère, légèrement sucrée, très légère pointe surette, corps moyen, bonne carbonatation; en résumé : meilleure que ce que je m’attendais

Pours bright amber into a tulip. Fluffy white head recedes with tearing. Slight sweet Belgian funk. Sweet/sour with slight mustard flavor. Lasting sweet finish.

Hazy amber hue, with an off-white head, yeasty nose, with a hint of spiciness, subtle dijon mustard seeds, faint fruitiness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty character, with a minimal peppery mustard seeds, faint wineyness, strange wet cooked vegetables, leading towards a low hop bittering finish.

Pours a very murky amber, with better than an inch of thick, creamy, off-white head. The foam leaves pretty good lacing. This beer has a mild malt in the aroma - a little tart and yeasty - and also a bit medicinal. The flavor is both sweet and spicy, with some mild caramel, tangerine, and a funky medicinal yeast character. I don’t taste mustard at all, but maybe that’s where some of the spice and maybe even the funk comes from. It is a little bit tangy in the finish, with a brief zing from the carbonation. That funky medicinal yeast is very prominent in the aftertaste. Just for the sake of comparison, the next time I try this one I will leave the yeast in the bottle. Very smooth mouthfeel, not quite medium bodied, and softly carbonated.

I had to try this very pretty oddly made Bekgian Beer. You can actually get hints of mustard in this nose and palate. It is weird but oddly I did go back to it on nmerous occasions.

Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Orange colour. Light malty and moderate hopy aroma. You can detect the mustard. Strange acetic light bitter flavor. Average too acetic finish. Watery palate. I dont like this one.
