Jul 20, 2004 Nice dark brown body to this, with a small white island on top. The aroma is a yeasty grape smell, with a heavy malt character. The flavor is a decent malty sweetness. Rather fruity blend to it, but not overdone. I wouldn’t shy away from this in the future, but nothing to intensely interesting.

May 8, 2004 Lightly cloudy brown with a tan foamy head. Sweeter caramel flavors mixed with a light banana and lightly citric bite. Refreshing and lighter in malt than many dunkles of this ilk.

Dec 2, 2003 Banana bread nose, with a thick head. Hazy brown robe. Nice caramel malts flavour but the spice and bananas are rather light, and come out near the end. Not as intense as their german counterpart.

Oct 11, 2003 A nice copper-brownish color but nothing spectacular. The taste was a bit sweet, but the aroma made me think it would be slightly more tart. I think this would be very enjoyable on a cold winter's evening.

Sep 29, 2003 (12 oz bottle) Pours a thick, creamy, almond head and a cloudy deep reddish-brown body. Aroma of sweet malt, bananas, wheat and lemon. Interesting creamy coffee flavour. Slight dry-citrus finish. Delicious! Many thanks to Argo for this delight...
