Commercial Description:
Dunkel is of course a dark German-style wheat beer. The same yeast strain that is used to ferment our Weiss and Kristall Weiss, is employed here in order to produce the characteristic fruity and spicy flavors only with a more pronounced malt character.

I picked this up on a business trip to Colorado. I'm glad that I did. Appearance: this pours an opaque reddish brown with an off white head. Aroma. The nose is of sour cherries, surprisingly enough. There's some sweetness in the nose too. I liked the aroma Flavor: Although it lacks the 'crispness' that I enjoy in wheats, this brew has a very enjoyable, slightly sweet flavor.

Has an interesting nose, cherry, caramel, malty aromas. Deep reddish-brown color. Sweet and fruity, almost a little watery in the mouthfeel. A little dry in the aftertaste. Not as full bodied as other dunkels, still an enjoyable beer.

Big creamy tan head atop a hazy red-brown. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, wheat, light lemon. Taste is medium sweet, roasty, caramel, wheat. Finish is decidedly roasty. Medium body. Nice beer, but not sure I’d want more than one at a sitting.

Pours a dark copper color with a good thick off-white head. Nice German yeast profile in the aroma. Smooth caramel maltiness throughout. Another great German clone from this brewery.

Medium brownish color. Looks like the deep color of a dirty pool. Fizzy carbination, no wheat, and barely a smattering of malts.

Darker caramel colored brown with a mighty tan head. Caramel and chocolate in the nose, but watery and thin. Sweet with hints of banana and a sourish finish. Decent? Yes. Unbalanced? Maybe.

Pours a cloudy brown color with a lingering, off-white head. It has a big aroma of bananas and clove with touches of yeast and malt. Medium body with full carbonation, the flavor is mildly fruity with some banana hints. The finish is malty with some yeast notes present. One of the better American attempts at the German wheat style.

The aroma is a malty, and just a bit smokey. The appearance is a deep amber with a creamy head. The flavor has a light jint of fruit, and again a slight smokey ting. The beer is smooth and silky. Over all its ok.
