BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 27, 2008 I have to say this was pretty enjoyable, with some intriguing hop varietals that don’t necessarily clash, but you have the the citrus, you have the floral, and the fruit, all combining to make a very unique nose. The malt background is immdeiately apparent. Well balanced and well kept, with a creamy palate. Finishes clean and bitter, very well done. 3/7/08 on draught at the brewpub. Aroma is verysweet and seems almost caramel dominant at first, but then moves into a citrus tone. Appearance is hazy gold with a moderate maintained white head. Flavor is very sweet, but the hops come through more, with strong earthiness and citrus; the balance is exceptiopnal , even at warm temps. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a ver low carb texture and light creaminess. Overall, a very interesting IPA with almost no flavor integration but an excellent balance betweeen 3 otherwise clashing flavors. BuckeyeBoy (1129), Boise, Idaho, USA Sep 29, 2007 On tap at TableRock BrewPub pours out a cloudy gold topped with a small white head. A very nice citrus aroma. A little sweet and a little citrus bitter on it as well. The nice malt goes well. Nate (2234), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 23, 2007 Draught sample at brewery. Fruity grassy hops with apricot and pears, mild malty sweetness. Hazy amber body with off-white lacing head. Medium-light bodied with light carbonation. Starts wth fruity sweet malt character, apricots and pears. Fruity grassy hops finish. Light bitter after. Nice without being over the top. jake65 (1238), Meridian, Idaho, USA Mar 12, 2007 Draft: Amber/orange pour with a modest white head and a little lacing. Nose is light citrus, florals, and malts. A wetter and softer mouthful than the Hopzilla. A decent hops presence, some malty sweetness is detectable.
