Nov 28, 2009 On tap at the brewery. Clear amber/golden with a medium foamy white head. Aroma is caramel, toasted malt, a touch of maple syrup, herbal hops and some limited fruity notes. Flavor is similar with caramel, honey, sweet malt, fruity notes and herbal hops. Amazingly drinkable for a 9%abv. Alcohol is very well hidden. Not so much complexity, but well made.

Oct 6, 2009 En fût. Verre de 12 oz dégusté directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de caramel fruité. Apparence: La couleur est ambrée dorée. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de zestes d’oranges avec une pointe de melon. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Sep 29, 2009 On tap at the restaurant-brewpub, amber-honey gold color, with a ring of white head, light spicy, yeasty, fruity nose. with some toasted, caramelized malt accents, and a fait fieldberry, kind of maple syrup aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet honeyed pale, caramelized, toasted malt character, with a kind of sweet maltose sugar, corn syrup flavor, with a faint ripe apple fruity accent, and a light flowery hop leafy dryness, leading towards a warmth ,malty, fruity ripe apple, lingering hop bittering finish.

Jul 29, 2009 A clear golden ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet honey malt with strawberry notes and candy sugar. In mouth, a nice malt with good berries, a bit of hops. A quaffable strong ale. On tap at brewpub July 25 2009.

Jul 25, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Strawberry esters are prominent in this creamy Strong Lager, adding mild complexity to the hefty sweet and toasted malts, before alcohol warmth cleans up the back end.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the hazy amber-tinged blond.
-The mouthfeel on this one was as soft and round as their other two beers’.
-This is quite drinkable for a 9% brew (even though the alcohol is tasted).
-Herbal hops appear in the last half.
-All of their brews are malt-heavy, yet amazingly drinkable.
