Inspired by America's amber wave of grain and as unique as apple pie, the intellectuals behind Tailgate Beer created this rose colored ale that drinks like honey and lingers of light caramel with sweet subtle hops. Surprise yourself and others with your sophisticated palate and acute ability to find the best beer brewed for drinking not sampling. At a powerful 6.2% our phantom abv leaves no bite and keeps your breath fresh. Perfect for a long day of gettn' some tail!

Bottle. Not expecting too much from this one based on earlier reviews. Poured a dark mud-like color. Aroma of caramel, yeast and fruit; not bad. Flavor was pretty weird; almost like overripe fruit. Pretty sweet. Some sourness as well. I hope this wasn’t what they were going for.

Ironically, the appearance is not amber nor lively like Lady Liberty’s winds, which always, quaintly soar through fields of pure freedom grain--CAAAWWWWW!!! Did you hear that eagle? No? Of course, nobody did. Moreover, this is not what I would expect to be drinking at some tailgate party. It is not light and it is not quaffable; it is somewhat burnt, it smells somewhat like burnt caramel popcorn, but noticeably and perhaps in ignorance of TailGate Beer’s Quality Control, it is somewhat sour. The brew was able to be drunk, but afterward, I did not care to tailgate--which in such cases would entail drunkenness. Above all, the label depicts cloudy straw-yellow colored beer like if Lady Liberty had freedom diarrhea. So, very boo... :o( ... Booooo!

On tap at Porters Pub, UCSD. Pours a hazy brownish-red with a foamy off-white head. Herbal aroma, with malt, grass, and sugar. Tasty is very herbal, with sugar, malt, and yeast. Lingering sharpness. Eh.

Bomber from Windmill Farms. Deep purple in color. Aroma is somewhat sweet and sour. Not very hopped for the style. Roasted malts and sour dominate. Doesn’t really drink like an amber. Seems more like a Slightly sour porter. Or maybe a sour brown. Maybe the labels got switched on the bottle or something.

Bottle from Wes of Tailgate beer co. Pours a very deep dark amber hue, with an off white head that disapates rather quickly. The nose has hints of sweet malts and touches of caramel. Taste begins with a nice roasted malt charateristic ends rather badly. Its the best of TG’s beers.
